James Corner obtained his PhD in operations research at the Arizona State University after completing an MBA at the University of Wyoming and a BS in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Virginia. Prior to joining the Department of Management Systems, he held various management positions over a period of 10 years (Texas Instruments and U.S. Steel, now USX). His research interests include: multiattribute/multiobjective decision making, decision analysis, and decision support systems. He has been employed at the University of Waikato in New Zealand since 1992.
