An analysis of spreadsheet use by accountants in New Zealand (with David Coy). This is a longitudinal study, with data from 1986, 1991 and 1996. We also compare spreadsheet use between rural and urban areas. A summary version of our paper can be viewed.
The above study has been extended to examine spreadsheet use in New Zealand, Australia and Canada. A pdf version of the paper is available.
This work investigates the effect of Information Overload and Worker Performance on Decision Making. This work is being undertaken with Ned Kock. In conjunction with Azul Rachman, we have examined tourism web sites both in New Zealand and internationally. The purpose of the study is to identify the features of effective tourism web sites both from the perspective of users (tourism academics, the tourism industry and tourists) and actual features available. The results are analysed using an Importance-Performance Analysis approach. Two research reports have been produced:
