This is us after climbing nearby Mt. Te Ahora and on Elisabeth's 2007 special birthday in Mt. Maunganui.

View from Paretaitonga (2751m), one of the main peaks of Mt. Ruapehu. The crater lake had just lost some of its water in a lahar about a week before the picture was taken (March 2007).
