About meIn 1999, I migrated to New Zealand from Switzerland where I had been working for Credit Suisse First Boston in Zurich, as a Director of Fixed Income and Credit Research. With a background in industrial engineering (Dipl. Betriebsingenieur ETH, Zurich) from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, I have been teaching at Waikato University Management School (Hamilton, New Zealand). In 2008 I completed my PhD thesis where I explored credit loss patterns of financial institutions in Australasia. As of 2010, I have moved back to Switzerland with my wife Elisabeth while
maintaining a teaching assignment (financial modelling) at Waikato University
Management School. I now live in Lugano and work with I-CV (www.i-cv.ch),
a small boutique research company (fixed income, credit research) based in
Zurich, Switzerland.
